A Daily Analysis

October 27, 2009 - Katyshu Falls on Galilee
A lone Katyusha fell near Kiryat Shmona in the Northern Galilee. The firing of the rocket has all the earmarks of being an act of one of the Palestinian groups. Most observers believe that the action was taken without the knowledge of Hezbollah and therefore would point to a more Wild West sense of the southern Lebanon at the moment.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayalon attempted to give a speech at the London School of Economics but demonstrators interrupted the speech. This is part of series of occurrences where Israelis have been stopped from speaking at universities around the world. Unfortunately, it is part of the continued attempts to remove Israel's legitimacy in the west. This is taking place unfortunately without a well thought out counter strategy, either on the part of the Israeli government, or for that matter, on the part of Jewish organizations.
Iran has yet to respond to the proposal to ship its uranium to Russia for processing. It seems to continue to ignore every deadline by doing its best to delay. President Erogan of Turkey came to the Iran's defense today by stating that there is no reason to expect Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions as long as Israel has not. Anyone who thinks he can go in that direction does not have an understanding of Jewish history. That is of course part of the general underlying problem. While Israel has been far from perfect in many of its actions over the years, most of its vociferous critics prefer to rewrite history as opposed to learn it.
