Iroquois Expansion Wars

The five Nations (Iroquois) exhausted their supply of beaver, upon which they were dependent for trading with the Dutch. The Iroquois then began intermittent warfare against the Susquehannock, Huron and other Indian nations. As they had been armed by the Dutch, they were largely successful in their attempts at expansion.
