The Hatch Act 1887

The Hatch Act provided funding for the establishment of government sponsored agricultural research.

 


The Hatch Act gave each state land grant college initially $15,000 to establish experimental agricultural stations. The act also provided funding to increase agricultural education and the sharing of information.
