Politesse (SP-662) was built by J. R. Robertson, Waltham, Mass., for Frederick G. Hood and acquired by the Navy under charter 17 April 1917. During World War I she served on seotion patrol out of Boston. Politesse was returned to her owner 5 July 1918.
