Passaconaway III

Passaconaway (q.v.), a twin-turreted Balamazoo class monitor, was first renamed Thunderer 15 June 1869 and then renamed Massachusetts while laid up in an unfinished condition at the Navy Yard, Portsmouth, N.H. Never
completed, she was condemned under an act of Congress 5 August 1882 and broken up in 1884.
