Geography in the Persian Empire

Persia was located between the Caspian City and Persian Gulf in a large plateau that stretches from the Tigres Euphrates Valley to the Indus Valley. The central plateau is enclosed with a large moutain range that insure ample rainfall for farming. Persia's location and topography resulted in the emergeance of cities along the natural lines of east-west communications.
