| August 9, 2006- Over 160 rockets landed on Northern Israel. There was heavy fighting in Southern Lebanon and 15 Israeli soldiers were killed in the fighting. The Israeli cabinet voted to approve the army plans to extend the reach of the army to the Litani. Diplomatic efforts to bring about a solution bogged down. |
