William F. Buckley

1925-

Political Leader

Conservative essayist, political commentator, and writer William F. Buckley has edited the National Review since 1955. Perhaps best known for his award-winning television program, "Firing Line,"Buckley has been analyzing the political scene for decades. Although unsuccessful as a candidate, Buckley did serve as a delegate to the United Nations in 1973.
