Treaty of Constantinople
In 1723 the Afghan Shah Mahumoud goes insane and orders the massacre of most of the citizens of Isfahan. Moscow and Constantinople then sign the Treaty of Constantinople, which divides the Persian sphere of influence between the two of them. Neither actually manages to fully conquer the country.
