Our POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life app provides a complete guide to the cities and towns of Poland, with special emphasis on Jewish life and history. POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life includes entries on every Polish town and village whose pre-World War II Jewish population totalled 500 or more.

All Polish cities are included in POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life, with information about both the general and Jewish history of each location. A map with major sites appears in each city entry.

Over 400 Towns and Villages

POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life includes over 400 towns and villages. Any town or village whose Jewish population exceeded 500 prior to World War II has been included. The history of each town, both general and Jewish is also presented.

Sites

Over 850 sites are included in POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life. Sites range from: museums and castles, to Jewish cemeteries. Each site appears with a map and the ability to navigate to that point of interest.

Testimonies

Survivors of the Holocaust present their personal testimonies in our POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life app, sharing their own story, as well as the stories of some of the cities and towns from which they came.

Death Camps

POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life also contains detailed information about every Nazi death camps located in Poland. Each camp entry includes its history, as well as, the location of individual sites within that camp.

General Tourism Sites

POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life contains information on most of sites and tourist attractions located in each city and town. However, some tourist attractions (like national parks) are featured in a separate section dedicated to Tourist sites.

From big cities to small villages

Each featured site in POLAND: Cities, Towns and Jewish Life contains background information about that location, a photo, and map indicating how to get there. Numerous site entries include a listing of that location's hours of operation.

How much does the POLAND: Cities, Towns, and Jewish Life app cost?

The POLAND: Cities, Towns, and Jewish Life app is free and will remain free. Our goal is for as many people as possible to use our app.

In which languages is the POLAND: Cities, Towns, and Jewish Life app available?

The current Beta is only avaialable in English. However, we are working on translations of the app into: Hebrew, French, German, Polish, Italian and Russian.

If I sponsor a city in memory or honor of my family toward what will that money be designated?

The money donated to the POLAND: Cities, Towns, and Jewish Life app goes directly to American Friends of Moreshet, who will use those funds to finance translations of this new greatly expanded version of the app into the six languages listed above. POLAND: Cities, Towns, and Jewish Life now includes a significantly larger number of towns and villages than were initially conceived and budgeted for, as a result the translation efforts are much larger than had been planned.

What do I do if I find a mistake, or a site missing in the app?
