| This program covers all of the major events in World History— from
the dawn of Sumerian civilization until 1400. The CD has separate timelines for: Each entry is narrated and illustrated with a photograph or drawing (many are full-screen). A special section highlights the major technological advances that took place during these periods. Events can be accessed through either the regional chronologies, the world chronology, or through the alphabetical listing— each of which afford you entry to every event and other sections of the program. Another key section of the program is the Civilization section. That section includes information on each of the major civilizations. The Civilization sections include essays on women, art, and history of that civilization. Entries on daily life and technology are included in many of the selections. You can also access the main history chronology through the Civilization section. The program’s map section is linked to the major historical events. Thus, a user can easily find where an event has taken place. There is a section with important documents. Finally, there is a Biography section that covers some of the most important “History Shapers” of the time. |
