2005 Bombing at Mosque in Pakistan

May 27th 2005- A suicide bomber exploded at the Bari Iman shrine in Islambd the capital of Pakistan. The bomb went off at the mosque which is shared by both Sunni and Shite Muslims in the midst of a Shite crowd on the last day of a five day festival. 20 were killed and scores wounded. After the explosion Shites rioted in the streets and attacked a Kentucky Fried Chicken location burning to death six employees. The explosion represented a major escalation in sectarian violence in Pakistan. .
