| The early crises of the United States such as the Genet Mission, and the Quasi War with France are carefully examined. The creation of Washington D.C., the election of Thomas Jefferson & The Tripolitan War are highlighted. Americas westward expansion is documented with presentations on the Louisiana Purchase and a special section on the Journey of Lewis and Clark (a digital adaptation of a 19th century pamphlet on the expedition). A comprehensive narrated section details the major battles of The War of 1812, many with extensive multimedia presentations and animated battle maps. The Document section includes hundreds of Presidential papers; Madison's complete Journal of the Constitutional Convention; and the Diary of John Maclay on the first year of the US Senate.
